วันนี้มาชวนไปฟังเพลงเพราะอีกเพลงนึงนะครับ เพลงนี้สะดุดใจผมตั้งแต่เห็นชื่อเพลงแล้วครับ
ชื่อเพลง "Hand me down" แปลว่า ของมือสอง หรือของใช้แล้ว ซึ่งจะใช้กับสินค้า หรือคน ก็ได้ครับ โดยถ้าใช้กับคน ก็จะสื่อความรู้สึกของผู้พูดไปในทางลบ ถากถาง เช่น ผู้ชายมือสอง ผู้หญิงมือสอง แต่ถ้าใช้กับสินค้า เช่น เสื้อผ้า ก็หมายถึงเป็นของมือสอง ที่เราไปซื้อมาใช้อีกทอดนึง ครับ
สำหรับความหมายของเพลงนี้ ก็มีคนตีความแตกต่างกันไป เป็นสองความคิดเห็นครับ กระแสนึงก็บอกว่าเป็นการพูดถึงความสัมพันธ์ที่ไม่ค่อยดีนักระหว่างพ่อกับลูก ที่ผู้พ่อ (ในที่นี้คือ Bob Dylan นักร้อง นักแต่งเพลงชื่อดัง) ประสพความสำเร็จมากในอาชีพ และไม่ค่อยมีเวลาให้กับครอบครัว จึงเป็นสาเหตุให้ Jacob Dylan (คนที่แต่งและร้องเพลงนี้ ซึ่งเค้าเป็นลูกชายของ Bob Dylan) เติบโตขึ้นมาแบบไม่ค่อยสนิทสนมกับพ่อนัก และ Jacob จึงแต่งเพลงนี้ขึ้นมาเพื่ออุปมาอุปไมยความรู้สึกของเค้าที่มีต่อพ่อ
